Havana Province, Cuba. – The “Havana Log 2009” trade fair was a showcase of the efforts of Havana Province citizens in different spheres of their everyday life. It took place from December 17 to the 20th, at “El Rodeo” trade fair center, in San Jose de las Lajas.

The occasion was propitious for negotiations between local industries and production centers and Ministries and entities from other provinces. The deals will open national markets for Havana Province commodities and services.

The slogan of the meeting was a true poem. When Havana Province people say “One more year of victories", they express their protagonism in the daily battle for life under the adverse conditions imposed by US ruthless economic blockade against Cuba.

The slogan is also a declaration of principles, because it announces that today's victories are a starting point to reach higher goals.

Therefore, the event in San Jose de las Lajas was most of all a people’s party in the municipality that won the provincial emulation for this date. It was also an excellent greeting to the new anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

Havana Log 2009 was a gift for local residents, who have been leading Havana Province’s endeavors to give people more food and cut down imports. Furthermore, they have thrived on scientific and technical development; upgraded the teaching and learning processes and improved public services. These have been the main lines of a sustained and balanced work.

Another year of efforts and victories is coming to an end. These days, a small sample of the road covered was within reach of everyone in San Jose de las Lajas. There were commercial and cultural offers for the attendants. They rewarded with their presence this customary display of the intelligence and will of those who every day produce more with less.
