World Day of HIV-AIDS in Bauta

Havana Province, Cuba. - December 1 is the World Day of struggle against the Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). On that occasion, a cultural gala will take place in Bauta Theater, under the motto “Let’s remain committed.”

Under the general direction of Jose Dariel Gonzalez, the gala will feature dances, singing and theater plays, performed by the “Jose Marti” Brigade of Art Instructors.

The event is intended to promote a message to stop infection at all ages, particularly for the young.

The municipality of Bauta reaches this date with a 0 incidence rate in the current year screenings. The work of health care and cultural institutions and voluntary promoters has been instrumental to this achievement.

The cultural gala for the World Day of HIV-AIDS Prevention in the municipality of Bauta, Havana Province, will also address the negative impact of social exclusion and discrimination of these patients.
