Havana Province,
Cuba. - A glimpse at the productive endeavors of Havana Province
people in 2009 shows that it was a year of many sacrifices.
But as the New Year approaches, we feel satisfaction for the
challenges we have overcome.
Farmers particularly stood out in the direct delivery of milk
to the grocery stores network.
This modality of distribution meant saving 384 tons of powder
milk, which the country was spared from buying in international
markets at high prices.
Entrepreneurship also stood out in this task, since Havana Dairies
managed to collect all the milk allocated to industry. This
used to be a serious problem for the territory, since the responsibility
was split in several enterprises under the conglomerate.
A lot remains to be done and despite the progress, there are
technological and human reserves in the province that have not
been used yet.
Therefore, it is mandatory to mobilize that potential in order
to achieve higher production and efficiency indicators. Agricultural
science workers have more than enough strength and intelligence
to materialize this possibility.
If all the hands unite; all the wills gather and wisdom is summoned,
higher goals can still be attained.
That is the highest commitment as the old year comes to an end
and we welcome the new one.
